There are many third party programs which only work with Halo 1.08 which you may find helpful when stunting or trying to contribute to the wiki. These programs include, but are not limited to: third person, bitterbanana's flycam, and sightjacker.
How to downgrade[]
Below is a step-by-step process on how to downgrade from Halo FV 1.09 or Halo CE 1.09.
FV[]
- Download the Halo Downgrade Package. The package includes version changer, version 1.08 halo executables, and assorted third party programs.
- Alternatively you can get version changer and and the old 1.08 halo executables from Goemitar's Wordpress.
- Extract the package using WinRar, 7zip, or another program which supports the extracting of .rar archives.
- Copy strings.dll and versionchanger.dll to your Halo installation directory, replacing your original strings.dll
- Copy halo.exe to your Halo directory, replacing your old 1.09 halo.exe
- You're now free to use any third party programs which worked with Halo 1.08 (such as the ones included in the package). Enjoy!
